Bolton Wanderers realistic over Cahill
10:30 PM 08 September, 2010
Owen Coyle accepts Gary Cahill is unlikely to stay at Bolton Wanderers Football Club forever.

The 25-year-old is already rated as one of the best defenders in the Premier League, and he impressed when making his England debut in the 4-0 win against Bulgaria last Friday.

A number of clubs, including Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Internazionale, have all been heavily linked with the player in recent weeks.

And Whites boss Coyle admits Cahill, a £5million steal from Aston Villa in January 2008 and now rated at £18million, could leave the Reebok Stadium as soon as January.

“There will come a day, and I hope it doesn't come in January, that Gary Cahill will probably outgrow the football club, given the finance involved in it," he told the Bolton News.

"I firmly believe that he could play for any of the top four clubs. And if that day comes, then Gary would go with our blessing because he's been a terrific servant for the football club.”
