Chelsea to try again for £18million La Liga star
11:30 AM 10 September, 2010
Chelsea Football Club are keeping tabs on Jesus Navas.

It was reported in the summer of 2006 that the Blues, then coached by Jose Mourinho, had agreed a deal for the talented Spanish winger.

However, it is believed Navas ultimately pulled the plug on the deal as he didn’t want to leave his homeland, and he has since remained with Sevilla.

The winger is currently involved in contract discussions with La Liga club, and Cadena SER claim if this isn’t resolved by January, he will be placed up for sale at £18million.

Barcelona and Real Madrid appear to be in pole position to land the 24-year-old, but it is also being reported that Carlo Ancelotti will try and lure him to England.
