Liverpool Football Club face competition for Gokhan Inler.

Roy Hodgson has been heavily linked with a move for the Swiss international in the New Year, as he looks to continue reshaping his squad at Anfield.

However, the agent of the Udinese star has revealed that the 26-year-old player could yet remain in Italy, with Napoli also keen to recruit him.

“You can never say no. Inler interests Liverpool and so it will not be easy for Napoli," agent Dino Lamberti told Radio Quinta Rete. "Udinese will not give him away on the cheap.”

Inler, who represented Turkey at Under-21 level before opting for Switzerland, has also been linked with Arsenal in the past but Arsene Wenger appears to have cooled his interest.
