Aston Villa and Everton set for Muntari battle
07:00 PM 05 October, 2010
Sulley Muntari could be heading back to the Premier League in the New Year.

The Ghanaian international made a big impression during his time with Portsmouth, before Jose Mourinho swooped to take him to Internazionale.

But the midfielder’s relationship with his current coach Rafael Benitez is strained, particularly after he was left out of the clash with Juventus on Sunday.

It is believed the 25-year-old stormed out of the San Siro following this snub, and this is set to increase speculation of a return to England.

His former Pompey manager Harry Redknapp is a big fan, but the Tottenham Hotspur boss is currently well stocked in his squad and is unlikely to make a move.

Likewise, reported interest from Liverpool is believed to be wide of the mark, which leaves both Aston Villa and Everton set to battle for his signature.

It is said that Gerard Houllier and David Moyes are interested in taking Muntari on loan in January, with the view to a permanent switch next summer.
