Mannone asks Arsenal coach: What about me?!
Vito Mannone reckons he deserves a chance in the Arsenal Football Club first team.
The Gunners goalkeeper problems has been one of the most talked about subjects in the early stages of the season, due to Arsene Wenger’s inability to land a new number one.
Manual Almunia was at fault for two of the goals in their 3-2 loss to West Bromwich Albion recently, which highlighted their need for a new shot-stopper.
Lukas Fabianski played in the following match at Chelsea, a 2-0 defeat, but 22-year-old Italian Mannone believes he is more worthy of a chance.
"Last year I played nine games and with me, Arsenal never lost,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport. "They brought Almunia back and then Fabianski started in the game at Chelsea.
"I get annoyed when I don't play, it's not as if the other two do that well. But if I've signed a contract extension until 2014 it is because they must value me."
