Liverpool considering making Drenthe approach
Liverpool Football Club are considering a move for Royston Drenthe.
In the summer the Reds were heavily linked with the Dutchman, yet much of this was down to a fake Twitter account in the player’s name claiming a deal had been done.
In the end the 23-year-old headed to Hercules for a season-long loan, and he has found something like his best form in the early stages of La Liga.
And this seems to have caught the attention of Anfield coach Roy Hodgson, with Sport claiming he is set to approach Real Madrid about a permanent deal for Drenthe.
The right-sided player, who can play in defence or in midfield, was a member of the Dutch Under-21 side of the 2007 European Championships, which also included Ryan Babel.
