Ivanovic set for new Chelsea contract
Branislav Ivanovic looks set to be handed a new deal at Chelsea Football Club.
After a slow start to life in England following his £9million arrival in January 2008, the Serbian international was superb in the Blues double winning season last term.
He is now regarded as a key member of Carlo Ancelotti’s first team plans, and he is believed to be a target for both Juventus and Milan.
However, reports claim the Premier League champions are looking to stave off interest from Italy, by handing Ivanovic a new £60,000-per-week deal.
The 26-year-old is out of contract at the end of the 2011-2012 season, but Ancelotti wants to take no risks and tie him up to a new deal before the winter.
