Rensing handed Leicester City chance
09:30 PM 01 November, 2010
Michael Rensing has been handed a trial at Leicester City Football Club.

The 26-year-old former Bayern Munich goalkeeper has been without a club since leaving the German giants at the end of his contract in the summer.

Foxes manager Sven Goran Eriksson has confirmed he has offered Rensing the chance to earn a contract at the Walkers Stadium, in what could be a shrewd move from the Swedish coach.

"He is coming here. It is only on trial and nothing is decided yet," Eriksson told the Leicester Mercury. "A lot of agents are ringing to ask if their players can come on trial."

Rensing played over fifty times for Bayern in the Bundesliga, and was capped eighteen times for the Germany national side at Under-21 level.
