Mark Hughes is confident Mark Schwarzer will stay at Fulham Football Club.
The 37-year-old is out of contract at Craven Cottage in the summer, and he was disappointed to be denied the chance of a move to Arsenal during the last window.
It has been suggested that the Gunners may renew their interest in the winter, and even if they don’t, Schwarzer is expected to leave at the end of the season.
However, Cottagers boss Hughes has revealed talks have begun over a new contract for the goalkeeper, and he is in confident mood something can be agreed.
“We've been talking with Mark in recent weeks and, hopefully, we'll soon have some good news about his future," said Hughes. "We are confident he is going to be our keeper."
