Edgar Davids has called time on his short spell at Crystal Palace Football Club.

The 37-year-old Dutch legend joined the Eagles in August on a pay-as-you-play deal, but he has decided to end his stint with the Championship club after just seven starts.

"Today I have decided that my journey as a player of Crystal Palace FC has come to an end," said Davids on his official website.

"I want to thank all the people who supported me and gave me one of the greatest experiences of my life."
