Ballack quashes Chelsea’s Bastian hopes
09:00 AM 10 November, 2010
Michael Ballack doesn’t necessarily believe Bastian Schweinsteiger needs to join Chelsea Football Club if he decides to leave the Allianz Arena.

Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have made the German international a top target for the summer, as he looks to add more quality to his double-winning squad.

Schweinsteiger is currently plying his trade in his homeland with Bayern Munich, but his contract is set to expire at the end of next season.

Former Stamford Bridge star Ballack, though, claims the 26-year-old will think hard about his future, and has advised him that Real Madrid or Manchester United could be the wise move.

"Only he will be able to feel what is right for him for the future,” Ballack told Kicker. "Of course, every footballer is attracted to certain things and Bastian will feel these also.

“But there are not that many big clubs around and Bayern is one of them. On the other hand, Real or Manchester United are both attractive and he would fit in well at both clubs."
