Rhys Williams hopes to sign a new deal at Middlesbrough Football Club.

The highly-rated Wales Under-21 international is out of contract in the summer, and although he is attracting interest elsewhere, his agent insists the player wants to stay at the Riverside Stadium.

"We believe they [Boro] want to offer Rhys him terms and we will be sitting down with them," Gary Williams told skysports.com. "There are teams interested but he is happy at Middlesbrough.

"He made the first team before he got injured and is pleased with how it is going."
