Sir Alex Ferguson is full of praise for Manchester United Football Club’s Carlos Tevez.

The Argentine international has lost his place in the starting line-up since the arrival of Dimitar Berbatov, but he scored the only goal of the game to see off Queens Park Rangers in the Carling Cup.

"He worked his socks off, he was terrific," Ferguson told Sky Sports News. "I thought he was our star man tonight, I though he was absolutely brilliant. He needed the game as he needs minutes.”
