Baggies braced for £7million Liverpool Brunt bid
01:00 PM 30 November, 2010
West Bromwich Albion Football Club are expecting interest in Chris Brunt this winter.

The Northern Ireland international has been the standout performer for the Baggies this season, as Roberto Di Matteo’s men look to push for a top-ten finish.

Brunt was again making headlines on Saturday afternoon, when he executed a perfect free-kick from 25 yards to help Albion secure an impressive 4-1 win at Everton.

The 25-year-old has been constantly linked with a move to Liverpool all season, and it is understood that Roy Hodgson will make an offer of around £7million in January.

Whilst Brunt is in no rush to quit the Hawthorns, the midfielder did reveal to the Belfast Telegraph earlier this month that he is flattered to be linked with Anfield.

“Obviously it’s nice to be linked with a club like that,” he said. “For a club like Liverpool to be linked is flattering, but I am enjoying playing for West Bromwich Albion.

“You always want to better yourself as a player. If I was to do well enough at West Brom to get myself a move to a bigger club and progress my career that’d be great.”
