Michael O’Connor would only leave Scunthorpe United Football Club for his idols.
The Northern Ireland international, 23, has been in fine form this season, which has seen him linked with moves to the likes of Newcastle United and West Ham United.
However, O’Connor, who has bagged six goals from midfield this term, insists he isn’t ready for the Premier League yet, and would only leave Glanford Park for Celtic.
"I still have a year and a half left on my current deal, so I will be here until then at least,” he told skysports.com. "A January move to the Premier League would come way too soon for me.
“I don't think I would want to leave if any club did come in for me in January unless it was Celtic. I'm a big fan of them and I think that would be the only club which could tempt me away in January.”
