Mark Hughes has reportedly identified his THREE top targets for Manchester City Football Club.

First on the Eastlands shopping list is Blackburn Rovers striker Roque Santa Cruz, who Hughes brought to England last summer when he signed him from Bayern Munich for a bargain £3.5million.

A number of clubs have shown an interest in the Paraguayan international, who could now command a fee of around £10million were he to leave Ewood Park.

A left fullback is also a priority for the Blues, and Hughes hopes to persuade Wayne Bridge to swap a place on the Chelsea bench for regular first team football in Manchester in an £8million deal.

Finally, the biggest outlay of the New Year will, if successful, go on Portsmouth midfield ace Lassana Diarra, who Hughes hopes to land for a fee of around £15million.

"We are going to make sure we do everything we can to bring in the players I know will help us,” Hughes told the official club site. "We hope that the right ones will be available.”
