Xisco admits he was surprised by protesting Newcastle United Football Club fans on Saturday.

The Toon Army are in uproar over the way Kevin Keegan left the club earlier this month, and they protested over Mike Ashley’s reign as owner of the St James Park outfit.

"It was a feeling that I had never experienced before,” Xisco told Marca.

“I have seen few places so animated. It's a pity that we couldn't win the game because then my debut would have been perfect. I'm happy to have scored a goal but the joy wasn't complete."
