Liverpool Football Club could make their move for Bryan Ruiz in January.

Roy Hodgson was heavily linked with the FC Twente winger during the summer, but he was unable to raise funds to include him on his shopping list.

The Reds boss has maintained an interest in the player throughout the season, and it is believed he is finally set to make his move when the window reopens.

Ruiz has been a big hit in Holland since his arrival from Belgian side Genk in the summer of 2009, and he scored 25 goals to fire Twente to the title last season.

The 25-year-old Costa Rican has also been in impressive form this term, hitting seven goals in sixteen games, prompting Hodgson to consider making an £8million bid for his signature.
