Lambert slams Norwich City exit talk
06:15 PM 10 January, 2011
Paul Lambert has slammed reports he was considering leaving Norwich City Football Club.

The former Scotland international is making a name for himself as one of the brightest coaches in Britain, as he leads the Canaries to a Premier League promotion push.

It was suggested last week that Lambert could be interested in leaving Carrow Road for the vacant Burnley job, but the 41-year-old has rubbished such speculation.

"I love the club. It is an absolute honour to be manager of it. I think when you are a manager of Norwich, however long it may be - what a club it is to manage, it really is,” he said.

"I have never ever once thought about leaving. Never. I can't stop the speculation, I can't stop people saying what they want to say, but I never once thought about leaving.”

I have been a football fan for almost 50yrs and my main team I support is Chelsea and that was because my Dad was a Chelsea pensioner and seem a good idea to follow them.I moved to Watton in 1987 and new Norwich had a football club but to be honest there wasnt a reason I could find to want to follow them as they were to be honest just another club not really going anywhere at the time untill Mike Walker became manager and got them in to europe which was fantastic .Having said that that has all changed since the arrival of Paul Lambert and anyone who lives in Norfolk and likes football must be amazed as I am what Norwich have acheived since this great young manager has been at carrow road. I now have to addmit that although I still support Chelsea the first result I look for is Norwich and now class myself as a true supporter of this great club. This is a very exciting time for the club and I wish Delia Smith Paul Lambert and all the fantastic supporters all 26,000 every week and the players all the very best for the rest of the season and who knows PROMOTION !!!
