West Ham United Football Club fancy a cut-price deal for John Carew.

The 31-year-old Norwegian international is in the final six months of his contract at Aston Villa, and looked certain to quit the club during the window.

The Hammers boss, though, is certain to face competition for Carew, who is also a target for West Bromwich Albion manager Roberto Di Matteo.
