Ipswich Town tipped to take Chimbonda
Ipswich Town Football Club are favourites to sign the released Pascal Chimbonda.
The 31-year-old defender has found it difficult this season to get regular first team football at Blackburn Rovers, who have terminated his contract with immediate effect.
Chimbonda is eager to find a new club as soon as possible, and the early favourites to offer him a deal are Championship club Ipswich.
New Tractor Boys manager Paul Jewell brought the fullback to England during his time at Wigan Athletic, and is being tipped to sign him for a second time.
Meanwhile, Steve Kean, who replaced Sam Allardyce at Rovers last month, has signed a new contract to remain in charge at Ewood Park until the summer of 2013.
