Leeds manager Gary McAllister is looking to complete a deal for ex-Middlesbrough striker Malcolm Christie
"He brings us that wee bit of guile and experience," McAllister told BBC Leeds.
"I've got four mainline strikers at my disposal and it just strengthens and bolsters the squad up even more."
Christie had been training with the Leeds squad in a bid to regain fitness but the 29-year old was a surprise inclusion in the team for Leeds's FA Cup win over Northampton Town. His last game was in April 2007.
