Everton Football Club are sweating over the fitness of Lars Jacobsen.

The summer signing from Nurnberg has yet to make his debut for the Toffees, and he could be forced to shelve plans of an outing against Stoke City on Sunday after damaging his shoulder.

Jacobsen was replaced by Denmark at half-time of their qualifying win against Portugal with the problem, and he will go for tests to establish the seriousness of the injury.
