Arsenal Football Club could move for Adam Matthews this month.

The 19-year-old is rated as one of the best talents in the Championship, where he is currently plying his trade for promotion hopefuls Cardiff City.

Matthews is out of contract at the end of the season, and although fresh terms have been tabled, he is said to be keeping his options open.

It is believed Arsene Wenger is a fan of the Welsh defender, and the Gunners boss could make an offer of around £2million to take him to the Emirates Stadium this month.
