John Terry knows just how important goal difference can be in the race for the title.

Had Chelsea not conceded a late goal on the final day of last season they would have been pipped to the title by Manchester United on goal difference only, something Terry is clearly aware of.

"It is really close at the top at moment," said the Blues skipper.

"The main thing for us is to keep winning. We have to try and frustrate the teams below us. We have experienced that in chasing Manchester United the last couple of years. It does get to you.

"They had the advantage of a better goal difference on us before but we have it now. If we can keep scoring and not conceding it's like another three points."
