Manchester City Football Club could bid for Wayne Hennessey in the summer.

The Blues are expected to lose Shay Given at the end of the season, as the Irishman looks for a move after losing his place to Joe Hart.

And reports in The Mirror claim Roberto Mancini has already set his sights on Hennessey, who has established himself as Wolverhampton Wanderers’ number one of late.

It is believed the City coach is of the opinion that the 24-year-old Welsh international could even be capable of challenging Hart for a first team spot at Eastlands.
