Aston Villa Football Club's Wilfred Bouma is back on track following his injury.

The Dutch defender has been out of action since picking up an ankle injury during the Intertoto Cup clash against Odense in July, but he hopes to return to training in the New Year.

"I am on track. When will I play again? It will still take a few months - certainly not until the New Year," said Bouma. "I hope to be back in training this year, but I will not be ready for games."
