Steve Sidwell insists his time at Chelsea Football Club is well and truly in the past.

The midfielder was signed by Jose Mourinho in the summer of 2007, but he spent just one season at Stamford Bridge before being sold to Aston Villa.

Sidwell endured a disappointing spell in the Midlands before returning to the capital with Fulham, who host Chelsea at Craven Cottage on Monday.

"I don't feel I've got anything to prove," he said. "It's one of those things in life where if it works out at a club then great, if it doesn't you get your head down and move on.

"It didn't work out at Chelsea but I'm at Fulham now, and all I'm concerned about is putting in a performance for the fans and the manager.”
