Mikel linked with shock Manchester United move
12:30 PM 28 March, 2011
John Obi Mikel has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United Football Club.

The Nigerian international is said to be disappointed at the lack of first team football he is getting at Chelsea, having recovered from a knee injury in December.

Mikel, who was a regular as the Blues won the Premier League and FA Cup double last season, has featured in just seven of their last seventeen games.

According to the News of the World, the 23-year-old will demand showdown talks with coach Carlo Ancelotti, which could result in his summer departure.

And the tabloid names United as a potential destination for the player, who actually agreed to join the Reds five years ago before performing a u-turn and signing for Chelsea.

The news is not more than what it is; a breaking news! Mikel is going nowhere, at least not in the immediate future. Is he rotting at Chelsea? I don't think so! He's done loads of matches in fours seasons, and this season happens to be an odd one for many top stars at Stamford bridge, including free scoring Lampard and Drogba. He took a subdued role all for the betterment of his team. Don't be surprised if he dazzles the world again, either in Chelsea shirt or Real Madrid, Juventus, Milan, Bayern Munich... mikel is strong-willed, which is key.....

No chance of this happening. Chelsea would not sell to United and United would not want him.
