Manchester City Football Club are set to step up their chase for Gareth Bale.

The Wales international has been in sensational form for Tottenham Hotspur this season, with his performances earning him the PFA Player of the Year award.

Bale signed a long-term contract at White Hart Lane last term, but this hasn’t stopped speculation suggesting he could be on his way if Spurs fail to finish in the top-four.

Chelsea and Manchester United, as well as a host of clubs in Italy and Spain, are interested in the winger, but the Daily Star claim City are lining up a solid bid.

It is claimed Roberto Mancini will offer a staggering £30million for the 21-year-old, as well as letting Tottenham take £24million James Milner as part of the deal.
