Ryan Giggs has hailed Manchester United as they stand on the brink of nineteen titles.

The Reds beat Chelsea 2-1 on Sunday afternoon to move six points clear of the Londoners, with just two fixtures of the campaign remaining.

It would be a huge surprise were United to lose the title now, and if they avoid defeat at Blackburn Rovers next week they will eclipse Liverpool’s eighteen crowns.

“It's a great achievement by the team and by the manager to haul back our biggest rivals,” Giggs told Sky Sports."It's not mathematically over, but we're nearly there."

Javier Hernandez gave the Reds an early lead over the Blues within the first minute, and Nemanja Vidic added a second before Frank Lampard replied.
