Gianfranco Zola is being lined up for a sensational return to Chelsea Football Club.

The Italian will forever be considered a legend at Stamford Bridge, due to an impressive seven-year stint at the club which ended just before the Roman Abramovich revolution.

Zola has been voted as the Blues greatest ever player, and even a managerial spell at London rivals West Ham United couldn’t harm his reputation with the fans.

Widespread rumours claim Abramovich is now looking to bring the 44-year-old back to the club, although there are differing versions on which role he would occupy.

Some sources claim he Zola could be brought in to work alongside manager Carlo Ancelotti, whilst others claim he could even replace his compatriot.
