Emilio Izaguirre has welcomed reports linking him with Liverpool Football Club.

The 25-year-old has just completed his first season in Britain with Celtic, where he was voted SPL Player of the Year, Players Player of the Year, and Football Writers Footballer of the Year.

Such have been the standard of the performances from the left fullback he has been linked with a move to Anfield, and the Honduran international has welcomed such speculation.

"It is flattering for any player of course, when somebody like Liverpool shows an interest in your services," he told La Tribuna. “I leave this in the hands of my agent and club officials."

The Bhoys are believed to rate Izaguirre in the region of £10million, which would represent a huge profit on the fee they paid twelve months ago on the back of the World Cup Finals.
