Maarten Stekelenburg is being tipped to join Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

Although Harry Redknapp continues to publicly back Heurelho Gomes, he is becoming privately frustrated with the performances of the erratic Brazilian.

It appears as though the 30-year-old also knows he could be on borrowed time at White Hart Lane, and he is said to be keen on a return to PSV Eindhoven.

The Dutch club are believed to be weighing up a £4million bid for the Spurs number one, and Redknapp wants to replace him with Stekelenburg.

The Holland international is down to the final twelve months of his contract at Ajax, and the Tottenham manager would hope to acquire him for around £8million.
