Allan McGregor is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with Aston Villa Football Club.

The Midlands club are in the market for a new number one this summer, with Brad Friedel widely expected to quit the club when his contract expires.

A number of potential targets have already been linked with Villa Park, the latest of which is Scotland international shot-stopper McGregor claims The Guardian.

The 29-year-old has won three league titles during his time at Rangers, where he is contracted until 2013, and he would cost around £5million to land.
