Liverpool flop hoping for Napoli chance
Alberto Aquilani has set his sights on a move to Napoli this summer.
The Italian international joined Liverpool in a £20million deal back in 2009, but he failed to make an impact in England and has spent last season on loan with Juventus.
Although a fee of £13million is said to have been arranged at the time of this temporary agreement, the Bianconeri are stalling on this price and want to renegotiate.
This has left the door open for rival clubs to make a move for the former Roma star, and reports claim Napoli are about to approach the Reds with a firm offer.
“If something was to come up he would be happy,” Aquilani’s agent Franco Zavaglia told Radio CRR. “I have not spoken to Alberto but Napoli is an important club.”
