Rangers unlikely to meet Cuellar valuation
Ally McCoist admits Rangers Football Club are unlikely to pay £3million for Carlos Cuellar.
The manager of the Scottish champions would love to take the Spaniard back to Ibrox, where he enjoyed a spell in 2007-2008 before his move to Aston Villa.
The Premier League side paid £6million for Cuellar, and with his contract into its final year, they are prepared to sell him during the summer window.
McCoist admits he is keen to take the defender back, but his board are only prepared to pay £1.5million for the 29-year-old whilst Villa want twice as much.
"I'm very keen for that deal to go through, but I don't think we'd be going as far as £3million to make it happen,” he told the Daily Record.
