Schwarzer won’t dwell on Arsenal opportunity
Mark Schwarzer is not dwelling on missing out on a move to Arsenal Football Club.
Arsene Wenger was interested in signing the 38-year-old goalkeeper last summer, but he couldn’t agree a deal with Fulham to secure his signature.
This was a blow for Schwarzer at the time, but twelve months on, he insists he remains fully committed to the Craven Cottage club.
“Was it a test for me? Without a doubt,” said the Australian. "It is always a big test when there is speculation and an ongoing saga.
"What you have to do is get your head down and do your job. I showed that I could do that. I am an employee of Fulham and I have always said I love playing for this club."
