Beye denied Newcastle United return
Newcastle United Football Club have spurned the chance to re-sign Habib Beye.
The Senegal international shot to fame in England when he joined the Magpies in 2007, but he left the club following their relegation when he joined Aston Villa in 2009.
Beye has failed to find anything like his best form in the Midlands and is unlikely to revive his position under Alex McLeish, who is prepared to let him leave this summer.
It has been suggested in the Evening Chronicle that the 33-year-old has been offered to Newcastle, who he made 52 league appearances for before his £3million departure.
But despite Jose Enrique expecting to leave St James Park leaving a void at left fullback, it is thought Alan Pardew has decided against inviting Beye back to the club.
