Everton Football Club want to take Daniel Sturridge on loan.

During a loan spell at Bolton Wanderers last season, the former Manchester City youngster proved he has what it takes to be a hit in the Premier League.

Sturridge would love to make his mark at Chelsea, but Andre Villas-Boas has plenty of options in attack and has just added to this by signing Anderlecht teenager Romelu Lukaku.

It is believed the Toffees are now set to ask the Portuguese coach for the services of his former England Under-21 international, in what would be a loan deal for the coming season.

However, the 22-year-old has been in fine form for the Stamford Bridge club during the pre-season, and he is likely to be given his chance by the Londoners in the coming months.
