David Bentley is expected to rejoin Blackburn Rovers Football Club this week.

The 26-year-old made his name during his previous spell at the Lancashire club, which led to him being snapped up by Tottenham Hotspur in a £15million deal back in 2008.

However, he has completely failed to establish himself at White Hart Lane, and is so much out of favour he has been handed the number 38 shirt by Harry Redknapp this season.

Bentley is now expected to quit the Londoners before the window shuts at the end of the month, and he has been linked with a loan return to Rovers which could lead to a permanent switch.
