Arsenal Football Club are preparing a shock bid for Niko Kranjcar.

The Croatian international has struggled to hold down a regular place in the Tottenham Hotspur side, despite making a huge impact during his debut season.

Kranjcar has made no secret he would welcome a move before Wednesday’s deadline, and Fans FC understands Arsene Wenger could offer him a stunning move across North London.

The French coach is eager for reinforcements following the sales of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, and he could try and persuade Spurs to sell their 27-year-old for around £6million.

This isn’t the first time Wenger has been linked with the talented playmaker, as he is said to have registered an interest in the former Hajduk Split man after the 2006 World Cup.
