Everton Football Club rejected the chance to sign Nicklas Bendtner on deadline day.
The Danish international is well down the pecking order for places in the Arsenal side, and Arsene Wenger was looking to offload him during the summer.
It is believed the Gunners offered Everton the chance to sign Bendtner, as part of the deal which took Mikel Arteta to the Emirates Stadium on deadline day.
However, David Moyes rejected the chance to take the 23-year-old striker, and instead his Spanish midfielder joined Wenger’s side in a straight cash deal worth £10million.
Bendtner, meanwhile, secured a loan move to Sunderland for the rest of the season, and has also revealed he has no plans to return to his parent club next year.
