Barcelona mock Gunners: Cesc was a bargain
09:00 PM 04 September, 2011
Barcelona believe they got a bargain when they signed Cesc Fabregas this summer.

The Spanish international grew up at the Camp Nou club, before he left for Arsenal as a 16-year-old in a controversial move back in the summer of 2003.

Fabregas made it clear last year that he wanted to return to Barca, but it was only last month when the Gunners finally relented and sanctioned a £35million transfer.

And almost as if to twist the knife into the Premier League side, the vice president of the Catalan side, Josep Maria Bartomeu, believes his side have landed a bargain.

“After seeing the work he's done since his arrival it is true that Cesc meets the €60m valuation Arsenal initially demanded,” he told Sport. “The transfer was very good.”
