Ronaldo is close to agreeing a new contract at Real Madrid.

The Portugal international became the most expensive footballer in the world in 2009, when he left Manchester United for the Spanish giants in an £80million deal.

Ronaldo still has four years left on his contract at the Bernabeu, but he plans to sign a new deal which would ensure he sees out the rest of his career at the club.

"I'm close to signing a new deal to stay at Real for the rest of my life without any problems,” the 26-year-old, who has an amazing 70 goals in 66 La Liga appearances for Real, told RTP1.
