Ricardo Alvarez could yet become an Arsenal Football Club player this season.

Arsene Wenger was eager to sign the Argentina midfielder during the summer, but he missed out on his signature when Internazionale took him from Velez Sarsfield.

The 23-year-old has made a slow start to life in Italy following his £12million move, and it is believed the Nerazzurri are prepared to offload him on loan.

It has been claimed that Wenger has already opened preliminary talks with the Serie A giants, which could result in Alvarez heading to the Emirates Stadium in January.
