Danny Pugh has returned to Leeds United Football Club.
The former Manchester United youngster had fallen down the pecking order at Stoke City under Tony Pulis, who has agreed to let him leave the club.
Pugh has signed a loan deal with former club Leeds, for whom he made 57 appearances between 2004 and 2006, which is expected to be made permanent in January.
“He's a versatile player and an experienced player who has played in both the Premier League and the Europa League with Stoke,” said Whites boss Simon Grayson.
"He also knows the Championship well and knows this club very well. Two or three other clubs were in for him but he jumped at the chance to come here.”
