Rafael van der Vaart has been impressed with Scott Parker’s impact at Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international joined Spurs from West Ham United on deadline day, and he has slotted straight into Harry Redknapp’s starting eleven.

A place in the Premier League’s top four is the target at White Hart Lane this season, and van der Vaart feels Parker can play a huge role in achieving this objective.

“He is unbelievable,” the Dutchman said. “He’s not that big, but he is a great player and is so strong. He’s not just a holding midfielder. There is more to his game than that.”
