The striker has been in impressive form for the Canaries and will end his second month in Norfolk by facing Ipswich in the big East Anglian derby this weekend.

“Leroy’s situation is simple – he just wants to play, whether that’s here or somewhere else,” Coppell told the Reading Chronicle.

“We have two strikers scoring regular goals in Kevin Doyle and Noel Hunt so at the moment we simply do not have a gap in the team for Leroy.

“He is due to play his last game for Norwich this weekend then after that we will chat with Glenn Roeder and Leroy to see which way to go.”
