Jordan Henderson hopes to help end Liverpool’s quest for silverware.

The Reds won the UEFA Champions League in 2005 and followed this up with the FA Cup the following term, but have since failed to add to their honours list.

However, optimism is high since the reappointment of Kenny Dalglish last season, and Henderson is quietly confident their wait for a trophy is drawing to a close.

"It's a long time without a trophy but we're just concentrating on winning every game and getting that winning mentality back," said the midfielder.

"We're quietly confident. We'll just keep looking forward to every game, keep building the team spirit and hopefully we'll keep putting in performances like that."
